  • Store and process any personal information provided through online forms or contracts available online if we consider this as necessary for our work.
  • Use personal data mainly to provide information and services as requested by you.
  • Inform you in advance about the information we need and how we will use it
  • You will receive this information either directly when you fill in an online form or in the contract itself
  • Point out the consequences of not receiving the required information. Most information asked for in application in application forms and contracts is obligatory.
  • Not disclose any personal information to third parties without your prior consent unless we are required to do so by law.

The information requested differs in each of these four cases. Normally, we will ask to provide your

  • First name and surname
  • Phone number
  • Home E-mail
  • Postal address

Additionally, we may need information about

  • Household members
  • Living conditions
  • Previous experience with dogs and cats
  • Your bank account (in case of direct debit)


How we use the information

We use your personal information to

  • Answer your queries
  • Contact you
  • Check whether all the requirements for fostering or adopting one of our animals are met


How long we store the information

How long we store personal information that we collect through one of our contact forms or one of the contracts available for download on this site, is case-specific.

Initial situation We delete personal information as soon as
General inquiry form was sent online ….. we have answered your questions
Membership application was handed in ….. the cancellation of your membership takes effect
Contact data of a volunteer were entered in our list of volunteers ….. the volunteer declares that she (he) will not support us anymore
Foster care application form was sent online …..a fostering contract has been signed or the applicant decides against fostering an animal
Fostering contract was signed …..the animal in foster care has been adopted or returned to us
Adoption application form was sent online …..the applicant decides against adopting an animal. Otherwise the form will be kept safely together with the adoption contract.
Adoption contract was signed ……the adopted animal dies or is returned to us


Transmitting personal information online

The transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. We cannot guarantee the security of your personal information transmitted through any of our contact forms or by email.

Any transmission is at your own risk.
