How to adopt one of our animals.

Adopters have to meet certain requirements. We try to establish – even at an early stage of the adoption process, whether the animal and prospective adopter are a suitable match.

Kindly fill in our online adoption application form. We will normally answer within 3 days.

1. We establish whether the animal and you could be a suitable match, based on the adoption application form.
2. You get to know the animal you are interested in.
3. A member of PLUTO will visit you at home and explain the adoption process in detail.
4. You sign the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee.
5. We will visit you again at home sometime after you have adopted our cat or dog to ensure that both sides are happy .

Our adoption fees in Spain depend on the species and age of an animal.

Puppies: 150 €
dewormed, vaccinated, micro-chipped

Dogs: 250 €
dewormed, vaccinated, micro-chipped and neutered

Kittens: 60 €
dewormed; vaccinated for rabies and micro-chipped if the kitten is older than 3 months

Cats: 95 €
dewormed, vaccinated, micro-chipped and neutered

Our adoption fees are relatively low. They only cover a part of our veterinary bills. We do not include a cent to cover our other expenses, like pet food, utility bills, petrol, insurance, repairs, and much more.

When will the adoption fee be due?

Please pay the adoption fee in cash when we hand over the animal that you have adopted.
